Registration, location, use, optimization, expiration, or replacement of these safety and protective items are all at a glance!
Organizational health and safety specialists must provide and maintain the necessary protective equipment for the safety and security of all employees and visitors. Workers must use this equipment correctly, following the instructions and training provided by the company. This process is linked to the employee portal for requesting PPE.
Therefore, protective measures are those elements designed, manufactured, and installed for the safety of people. These are the equipment, devices, or measures that help eliminate risks to the health and safety of workers in the workplace. Examples include: personal protective equipment ( PPE ), fire extinguishers, ventilation and extraction systems, alarm systems, safety signage, physical barriers, and so on. Registering, locating, using, optimizing, tracking the expiration of, or replacing these items in Sabentis is very simple. The ‘ Protective Equipment’ card form includes information about the equipment and its status. The various fields are filled with all the general data— equipment name, code, location type, location details, and category—and status —maintenance, person responsible for inspection, etc. It is one of the many technological solutions for occupational health and safety that digitize equipment management.
Once the item is registered—something that can be done in bulk or through a pre-existing list on the platform—the following tabs are enabled: adaptations, restrictions, and documents.
- The adaptations allow visualization and recording of the modifications that have been made to the material agent.
- The restrictions define whether the material agent can affect people’s health or is suitable for people with special sensitivities. This includes important factors such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, being a minor, physical disability, sensory disability, or psychosocial disability.
- Additional information about the material agent can be attached to documents.
